Dream Land

Last night I had the weirdest dream - well, maybe not - and when I finally awoke from my slumber I thought it was real. But reality can't directly mean that there are doubles of everything, so it had to be a dream, right? I was walking and just enjoying myself and the wonderful sunshine that finally decided to come out of hiding when I started to hear a noise. At first I couldn't tell what the noise was, but my ears perked and I tried to hone in on the source of this racket. I thought it may have been buddy-Benny, but as it turns out, he didn't invade my dream last night. As I got closer to the noise, pouncing my way through the path that just wasn't as worn as I would've liked, I thought I saw ripples. The closer I got, the clearer the ripples. When I thought I was there, suddenly everything changed. I was no longer in the sunshine or on the beaten (well, non-beaten) path, but in the dark and cold. Again, I heard the noise, and by this time I was getting worried because I didn't recognize anything around me. I wanted to get back to my glorious sunshine and the path and I would've killed to have Benny trouncing around in my head, but I couldn't find my way back. The noise grew louder and louder and then I felt a huge shock. With the shock, I jumped out of my slumber and was completely freaking out. I ran out of the room trying to figure out what had just happened and what that noise really was ... maybe I will be able to figure it out in another dream on another night. Right now I feel like listening to the soothing laps of water brushing against the edge of its captor.
